Fearless Free Picks Week 7 Free Picks

Turns out that the best thing that the Tennessee Titans could do was simply take a week off. The Titans are now the only undefeated team in the betting market, standing at 5-0 ATS and SU. Can the best bet on the board keep the train rolling against Baltimore?

Meanwhile, we saw something in Indianapolis the Colts’ fans have been waiting for. Not only did they get their first win at Lucas Oil Stadium, Peyton Manning came alive throwing for 271 yards and three electrifying touchdowns. Are the Colts back? It looks to me like the AFC South is just heating up.
The Week 7 Odds and Lines are here, and it’s time to get you degenerates off your asses and in to the sportsbook to start cleaning up your messes from last week. This is a marathon fellas, not a spring, so stop moping as if you play for the Bengals. Let’s hit the Week 7 NFL betting lines!

San Diego Chargers (3-2) vs. Buffalo Bills (4-1)

NFL Betting Line: SD -2 (46.5)

The Bills are nested atop the AFC East division, and don’t look like they’re going anywhere. Now is the time to test their mettle. The Chargers are coming off a thunderous and rousing victory over the Patriots this past weekend, claiming the win 30-10. The Bills tripped against Arizona after Trent Edwards was knocked out of the game in Week 5, but Edwards has regained his health (and his consciousness) so he will be ready to go.

San Diego is a very sexy team, leading the league in overall scoring with 29.7 points per game. The thing I don’t like about them is that they’ve been inconsistent on the road. Sure they’ve dominated two mistake-prone teams in Qualcomm, but these are a different breed of Bills. I know you Californians love to bet Chargers football, but be wary when you approach this line that is already moving back towards Buffalo. Is it getting cold in Buffalo already? Interesting…

NFL Free Pick: Buffalo +2 (UNDER)

New Orleans Saints (3-3) vs. Carolina Panthers (4-2)

NFL Betting Line: EVEN

The Saints continue to sloth through the season in spite of Reggie Bush’s scoring explosion. Sure they beat up on the Raiders. WHO CARES! The Panthers are a much better team than anyone though, and Steve Smith and Moosh are looking for a big bounce back after the embarrassing loss handed to them by Tampa Bay last weekend. As much as you like the Saints and Drew Brees, I’d suggest staying away from a team that is 1-4 SU in their past five games against Carolina

NFL Free Pick: Carolina EVEN

Dallas Cowboys (4-2) vs. St. Louis Rams (1-4)

NFL Betting Line: Dallas -7 (44)

St. Louis won a game? Brad Johnson is starting for Dallas?! Pacman is in trouble again??? Ok, so that last bit of news was no surprise, but this game suddenly got interesting. While it’s easy to get excited about the Rams, let’s not forget that the offense notched zero scores. It was all Josh Brown, the kicker, and a 75-yard fumble recovery. Brad Johnson or not, the Cowboys have way too many weapons for the old man to screw this one up. Expect a big game out of Felix Jones and Marion Barber as the Boys blow up a porous St. Louis defense.

NFL Free Pick: Dallas -7

San Francisco 49ers (2-4) vs. New York Giants (4-1)

NFL Betting Line: NYG -10.5 (45.5)

Well it was only a matter of time before Eli threw up one of those games where he pouts and drives his team’s face in to the turf. With four turnovers, Eli cost the Giants’ a victory against the stumbling Browns. The Niners have allowed at least 30.0 points against in 4 of their last 5 games and we have to assume that the Giants will at least do one thing right – slaughter bad teams.

NFL Free Pick: NYG -10.5

Baltimore Ravens (2-3) vs. Miami Dolphins (2-3)

NFL Betting Line: Miami -2.5 (36.5)

Look at that! Miami is favored! What a great, happy moral victory for the Fins of South Beach. Baltimore has been on a three-game tailspin losing to Indianapolis, Tennessee and Pittsburgh. Despite having the best rushing defense in the league, the Ravens just can’t score enough touchdowns to keep up with their counterparts.

I hate saying this, but that Wildcat offense they’re running Miami is a lot of fun to watch. I don’t know if I’m more surprised that Chad Pennington threw two passes over 50 yards in one game, or that Patrick Cobbs caught for 138 yards and two touchdowns. Don’t be surprised, however when Miami walks away with the win this weekend against a team that is 6-16 ATS.

NFL Free Pick: Miami -2.5

Tennessee Titans (5-0) vs. Kansas City Chiefs (1-4)

NFL Betting Line: Tennessee -8 (35.5)

The top ranked team in the NFL against the second-worst. Tennessee is one of the toughest teams in the league, and KC gives up 182.2 rushing yards against per game. Any more questions?

NFL Free Pick: Tennessee -8

Minnesota Vikings (3-3) vs. Chicago Bears (3-3)
NFL Betting Line: Chicago -3 (38)

Both teams emphasize stiff defense and strong rushing attacks. And both teams are just as disappointing as discovering that Asian girl you picked up at the bar was wearing a push-up. Minnesota has fallen to 2-7 ATS, while Chicago has risen to 6-2-1 ATS in the last nine games. Minnesota faced the worst defense in the league in Detroit, and only managed 12 points. Their betting faithful should not be impressed.

NFL Free Pick: Chicago -3

Pittsburgh Steelers (4-1) vs. Cincinnati Bengals (0-6)

NFL Betting Line: Pittsburgh -9.5 (37)

Do you even need to ask? Pittsburgh is 6-3-1 ATS and 7-3 SU in their last 10 games with the Bengals. In fact, Cincinnati hasn’t won a game against Pittsburgh since 2006. Do you really think that an upset is in the making all of a sudden? Please.

NFL Free Pick: Pittsburgh by a billion

Detroit Lions (0-5) vs. Houston Texans (1-4)

NFL Betting Line: Houston -8.5 (48)

Watching the Lions play football is like watching a traumatizing reality show, like “The Surreal Life” or “America’s Most Smart Model”. You don’t want to watch it, but you casually turn on just to see what’s happening, and you can’t turn away from the mayhem. How does that happen in this day and age of NFL football? How do you put together such an awful, awful team? Simply dreadful.

NFL Free Pick: Houston -8.5

Indianapolis Colts (3-2) vs. Green Bay Packers (3-3)

NFL Betting Line: Indianapolis -1.5 (47)

The Colts are turning the corner, and Green Bay could be in big, big trouble. The Packers suffered a stunning loss to Atlanta, and managed to edge the Seahawks practice roster 27-17. I’m starting to wonder about the Pack defense. They’ll be able to show you what they’ve got when Peyton comes to town. Off the cuff, I’d have to go with Peyton and the boys in blue and white. But if you want a full game preview, then check back to the Locker Room later in the week as we get more news on Manning’s knee and Rodgers’ shoulder.

NFL Free Pick: Indianapolis -1.5 (for now…)

Cleveland Browns (2-3) vs. Washington Redskins (4-2)

NFL Betting Line: Washington -7

Welcome to this week’s official Stay Away Game! Is Cleveland back on track? Did the Redskins show their true colors? Do you bet on a team that dropped 33-points on New York, or the team that just lost to St. Louis? Washington is the better overall team, but Cleveland showed a penchant for lighting the board on Monday Night Football against the New York Football Giants.

The coup-de-gras? The fact that the offense only put up 21-points. The rest came from the defense and special teams. I’d be wary of a Cleveland team that does not travel well at all.

NFL Free Pick: Washington -7 (with a gun to my head)

New York Jets (3-2) vs. Oakland Raiders (1-4)

NFL Betting Line: NYJ -3 (42)

The Jets have bounced back from the two losses to New England and San Diego to outscore their last two opponents 82-49. Now they face the Raiders who have an average point differential of -10.8. That three-point spread looks like a gift from above. The Jets are 4-1 ATS in the last 5 games on the road. Buy! Buy! Buy!

NFL Free Pick: NYJ -3

Seattle Seahawks (1-4) vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2)

NFL Betting Line: Tampa -10.5 (39)
I bet the schedule makers in the NFL offices had a much different picture painted when they set this game down as the Sunday Night battle. The Seahawks are falling apart at the seams, with even Matt Hasselbeck ailing. Tampa is firing on all cylinders and will batter the Seahwaks with a balanced offense.

NFL Free Pick: Tampa -10.5 (O/U on Jeff Garcia and Gruden montages set at 5.5)

Denver Broncos (4-2) vs. New England Patriots (3-2)

NFL Betting Line: New England -3 (46.5)

Matt Cassel on Monday Night Football! Sammy Morris under the lights in PRIME TIME! Ladies and gentleman, YOUR NEW EEEENGGGLLLAAAAANNNNNDDDD PATRIOTS!

NFL Free Pick: Denver +3
